20th day
Today, our last day together, we arrived in Christchurch in the morningtime, had a proper shower and a nice lunch and sorted out all our stuff from the car to bring it clean back. In the afternoon the others brought me to the airport where I had my flight to Sydney.
Good Bye NZ
19th day
We drove a little closer to Christchurch along the coast to the Banks Peninsula where we found our last spot close to the beach with a nice sunset. We enjoyed the last evening with some beers and music and once again some nice and funny conversations.
16-18th day
We headed more inland to Twizel were we went to the hostel and made all our electrical stuff and then went to Lake Pukaki. We had an awesome view over the bright blue lake, because of the glacier water, with sediments, and at the and the snowcaped mountainrange with Mt. Cook. I love it!! We found the best spot ever on our whole trip without sandflies, moskitos, with fire at night and the best view you could imagine. We spent here three perfect days with sunbathing, swimming and just relaxing and enjoyed the best view ever. at night we had fires, played some drinking games and just enjoyed our last days together with a review of all our really good trip.
15th day
Today we went up the Waitaki valley and saw a lot of power plants and nice lakes. We stopped at Lake Aviemore and had a nice walk to the deep stream it was beautiful. We also spent the night here and after dinner we started some drinking games and all got really pissed. It was fun.
14th day
In Dunedin I booked my flights for my Australia trip and we spent some time in the internet and visited the museum which was nice. We went up Baldwinstreet as well, the steepest street in the world. Afterwards we went up all the West Coast to Moeraki where we found one more time a nice spot up the hills with a good view to the pacific. The weather became better so we could build up the tent which was more comfort for all of us.
13th day
Because of the rainy weather we decided to go more up north so we just had a few stops in the Catlins and went up to Dunedin. We charched all our stuff at the library and made some more dvd's. At night we drove to Otago Peninsula where we had a nice view over Dunedin. Here we stayed at the Sandfly Bay, without sandflies and one more time three in the car.
12th day
In the morning we had a short swim in the really cold Tasman Sea but it was refreshing. Thereafter we went to Invercargill for shopping and then headed to the Catlins. Still the weather was bad and rainy so we had one more relaxing day in the boot of the car where I made my finaly plans for AUS. We slept all in the car st the Waikawa Town Hall and had bad rain during the night.
11th day
We started early in the morning to catch the 9am boat cruise around Milford Sound and it was still a little bit of rain but we had free breakfast on board and a nice cruise. It was all a little bit mysty. On the way back the sun came out so we could do a bit of singhtseing on the way down to the south. We found a nice place at Monkey Island with a nice sunset. The weather wasn't stabil and we had a lot of rain during the night.
10th day
I made a lots of resaerch about my travel in Australia because we had internet and then in the afternoon we started to Milford Sound. Today the weather changed and the rain started so we hadn't really a chance to see something on the way but for the night we found a small place under the roof at a paking lot where we could stay. It was at the Divide, the start for some treks in the Fjordland. Because of the rain we slept all three in the car again.
